VASTU FOR LAND /PLOT

Plot selection is of great importance since the plot has a fixed value (location, shape, etc.) and will emit energy whether positive or negative energy depending on its location (surroundings & orientation), shape, slope and soil.  Generally, people do not consult a Vaastu Expert at the time of buying plot but it is advisable to consult one right from the beginning as these inputs could be very helpful in selecting the right option.

Vaastu Expert will keep the Vastu principle in mind while selecting a site instead of focusing on commercial & other aspects of plot. Even if you have already purchased a plot, one should still go through the Vastu Guidelines as most of these guidelines are based on scientific reasoning and few on common sense.

  • LOCATION (surrounding & orientation)
  • PLOT SHAPE
  • PLOT SLOPE
  • PLOT SOIL

VAASTU GUIDELINES FOR PLOT SHAPE

Vaastu Shastra is a science and provides logic and reasoning behind every guideline some of which we are trying to explain. It is up to the individual to analyze them and decide what to follow or not.

WHAT IS THE BEST LOCATION OF A PLOT?

Fertile soil with peace, calmness, lot of greenery and good water source is good for construction.

Before purchasing plot, it is a good idea to feel the vibration of land for a few moments by standing on it. If you get positive feeling, consider buying it otherwise it is probably not good for you. In this case, it is advisable to trust your own instinct only and make sure no person or thing is influencing you for obvious reasons.

It is advisable to check the Plot history and plots should have a good history. Land where happy and successful people have lived is best to buy. The logic is not only psychologically but is based on the good vibes or energy of plot which made people happy, healthy and prosperous. Check for the road adjacent to the plot. Plot with roads on the North or East is considered good as more of light and air enters from these directions in the morning.

WHICH PLOTS ARE NOT GOOD?

Avoid a plot having haunted or dilapidated house. Never buy land/house where someone has committed suicide in the recent past, or place had several deaths over a couple of months. Knowing about such past makes one psychologically uneasy.

Avoid purchasing a plot being sold by owner under stress as psychologically one may feel unhappy and guilty due to helplessness of previous owner. Consult a Vastu expert before purchasing such Plots for negative vibes.

Avoid sites adjacent to public place or commercial buildings. For example, the land should not be next to any public place as temple, hospital, factory, school, college etc. as it will be crowded and noisy. Plots at least 80 ft to 100 ft away are acceptable. Avoid sites near smelly places as meat shop, leather tannery, shoe making, dustbins, sewage drains etc. Foul smell coming from these places will permeate the house and thus create an atmosphere making it not suitable to live in. Plot between large plots should be avoided as the owner of the smaller plot can construct only a smaller house than that of the larger plots. This may create a feeling of inferiority complex as owner may subconsciously feel ‘small’ with respect to the neighbors.

It is good to avoid plots with lot of cracks or too much wet soil. The cracks indicate dried up clayey soil and too wet soil also indicates clayey soil that does not allow the drainage of water. Such soil is not suitable for a building foundation as it will retain moisture and necessitate extra expenditure for water-proofing the foundation. Strictly avoid Plots facing a T or Y intersection of roads. This is because you can see oncoming traffic and this may give you the nervousness feeling or lack of privacy. However, in some cases, as explained below, such plots are acceptable.

VAASTU SHASTRA FOR VEETHI (VEEDHI) SHOOL

Plots facing a ‘T’ or ‘Y’ road intersection, i.e. where roads or lanes run right into the face of site from different directions are called Veethi (road) Shool (Arrows). There can be multiple variations based on oncoming roads & their directions etc. let us examine the basic considerations, in naming them as Good, Average and Bad as shown in figure below.

  • East-Northeast: If the oncoming road is from East, and hits Northeast, it is considered a good site.
  • North-Northeast: If the oncoming road is from North, and hits the Northeast, it is considered a good site.
  • West -Northwest: If the oncoming road is from West, and hits Northwest, it is considered as average site.
  • South-Southeast: If the oncoming road is from South, and hits Southeast, it is considered as average site.
  • East – Southeast: If the oncoming road is from East, and hits Southeast, it is considered a bad site.
  • North – Northwest: If the oncoming road is from North, and hits Northwest, it is considered a bad site.
  • West – Southwest: If the oncoming road is from West, and hits Southwest, it is considered a very bad site.

South – Southwest: If the oncoming road is from South, and hits Southwest, it is considered a very bad site.

VEETHI (VEEDHI) SHOOL

CAN THE VEETHI SHOOL BE CORRECTED?

Plot is facing an intersection, (called a Veethi /Veedi Shool), face oncoming traffic and people, and that may give residents lack of privacy & nervousness. To overcome this, one should convert the corner facing the intersection into a car garage / porch, outhouse etc. Alternatively, one can convert into a garden and fence it.

VAASTU FOR PLOT SHAPE
